About Y4GH2

183+ graduates. One shared mission.

Registered nonprofit (Section 21, 21/2026/0184). BMBF funded via SASSCAL. Members across all 14 regions. Academic and TVET streams. Three pillars: Research, Entrepreneurship, Skills Development.

Our Story

Built by graduates,
for graduates.

The Youth for Green Hydrogen Alumni Network (Y4GH2) was established by graduates of Namibia's flagship green hydrogen training programme, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) through SASSCAL.

What began as a group of driven young Namibians determined to remain connected after their training has grown into a registered nonprofit with 183+ members spanning all 14 regions of Namibia — from MSc researchers to TVET technicians, united by a common purpose.

Our members are embedded in government, industry, academia, and civil society — contributing to the policy landscape, building green hydrogen startups, and equipping the next generation with the skills Namibia needs.
